It seems the Conservatives may soon table a Canadian version of the DMCA: see this article by Globe and Mail columnist Jack Kapica. This article by Michael Geist has some good suggestions on what to do about it, the foremost ones being to write letters a lot... ladies and gentlemen, start your faxes!

Agreed, though two times zero is still zero. My MP is guaranteed to keep his seat, is an arrogant bastard and shows no sign of listening to his constituents. Still considering sending a proper letter to him though, just in case.

He is incumbent for 2-3 terms in a row and i happen to be in the most conservative portion of the province. You know the election when there were 2 Alliance ridings in Ontario? It was my riding and the next riding over. The Liberals put throw-away candidates here.
