Aikido

I think I'm going to take a sabbatical from aikido this December. Not that I don't enjoy it, but I want to give myself a bit of time to think and do a few other things for a while. The New Year's Day traditional practice of 108 repetitions of a technique (based on Buddhist practice) will also make a perfect time to go back to it, fresh and hopefully unencumbered.

This also means that I'll have more time to get together with people, so if you're interested in doing something together, drop me a note!

Sounds like a wise plan, though i doubt i would be able to do anything despite my interest in such due to my work schedule.

I just wanted to add that a mental and physical break from routine is usually a very good idea.

I am going to be out of town for a large chunk of December so unfortunately I can't contemplate get-togethers that aren't deemed completely necessary. Gah! I suspect that you'll have enough distractions as it is and won't miss me :)

I've never been big on routines, so finding myself kind of in one, I don't have the practise others do in coping with or breaking out of it. This is a bit of an experiment.

It has been a while already since I saw you, so I rather will miss you!

Every time I get into a routine something out of my control always seem to break it. I guess that's life! I think that this is partly why I like doing different things and I prefer changing routines.. I don't have much of a choice :)

Life seems to be passing by so quickly these days... I have such a long list of things to get done and yet that list never seems to shrink. At least everything is relatively fun... work is busy enough but I'm trying to work my way onto a project that takes place at Maple Flag (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maple_Flag) because really, who wouldn't want to go if they could?!

My life will probably start changing faster again once the ^&*@! thesis is done.
