After reading that, my heart was pounding in my chest hard enough to make my chest move my shirt. I'm thinking the wet rag technique is not dissimilar to a particularly bad case of sleep apnea (which, as [livejournal.com profile] wulfmadchen can attest, throws me into a complete state of panic upon waking).

I knew already that waterboarding was torture, and it's odious that some people in the USA insist that it is not.
