Your question was a very general one. EMS Satcom is always on the leading edge of new satellite systems development for aircraft. We have recently announced two new derivative products called System 6 and System 7. A google search should satisfy your needs.
We are the only avionics manufacturer to presently deliver Inmarsat Swiftbroadband High Speed Data systems with the remainder of the avionics vendors being anywhere from 3 months to 9 months behind the power curve. All in all I'd say selecting an EMS system is the right move for reasons of equipment quality, support and performance.
